Please note: If the Setting Manager decides a child needs a SEND assessment, they will work with parents, the Setting SENCO, and the Area SENCO to determine if the setting can meet the child’s needs. This applies both during assessment and for long-term care. We will consider the child’s behavioural needs, staff training, resources, funding, and staff availability. If the setting cannot meet the child’s needs, their place at the setting may be at risk.
