EASTLEIGH

Welcome to Strawberries.

Our Strawberries room at Eastleigh is a warm and engaging environment where toddlers can explore, build confidence and begin to develop key skills.

With a focus on communication, movement and independence, children are supported as they grow, with consistent care from a team who understands their individual needs.

LEARNING THROUGH PLAYFUL EXPERIENCES

Everyday discovery.

The Strawberries room at Eastleigh is designed to support learning through a balance of play, routine and guided activities.

Children are encouraged to explore different areas of the room, try new experiences and develop independence, with support from familiar adults throughout the day.

Creatively exploring

A range of materials are available for mark making, role play and imaginative activities, allowing children to explore ideas and express themselves.

Messy playing

Children are given opportunities to explore materials such as sand, water and play dough, supporting sensory development and coordination.

Physical development

Space and equipment are provided for climbing, balancing and active play, helping children build strength and confidence through movement.

DEVELOPING SOCIAL SKILLS TOGETHER

Growing alongside each other.

Toddlers begin to engage more with others at this stage, learning through shared experiences and everyday interactions.

Playing alongside others helps develop early communication, confidence and understanding of simple social boundaries. Children also benefit from being around different age groups, observing and learning through interaction.

We support each child’s transition through the nursery at a pace that suits them, making each step feel natural.

OUTDOOR PLAY AND DISCOVERY FOR STRAWBERRIES

Exploring the world outside.

At Eastleigh, our Strawberries children enjoy regular time outdoors in a safe and well-planned garden space.

Here, they can move, play and explore in a way that supports their growing independence. Activities are set up to encourage curiosity, from simple construction play to sensory experiences using natural materials.

As confidence builds, children begin to access larger shared areas, helping them feel comfortable in a wider environment.
