EASTLEIGH
Welcome to Elderberries.
Confident learners, ready for their next chapter.
Our Elderberries room at Eastleigh supports children as they begin to take bigger steps towards school, in a way that feels steady and well supported.
THE ELDERBERRIES ROOM
A space that supports growing independence.
The Elderberries room is carefully arranged to give children the freedom to explore, make choices, and take more ownership of their learning.
With a mix of structured opportunities and open-ended play, children can follow their interests while developing important skills. The environment is designed to feel familiar, organised, and engaging, helping children feel ready for the routines and expectations of school.
FOUR AND FIVE-YEAR-OLDS, PREPARING FOR SCHOOL
Building confidence through everyday learning.
As children approach school age, we introduce simple routines and experiences that help them feel prepared and confident.
Following the EYFS framework, we support each child’s development across communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel ready for their next step.
We work closely with families to ensure each transition feels smooth and well supported.

OUTDOOR LEARNING FOR CURIOUS ELDERBERRIES
Time, space, and freedom to explore.
Outdoor play is a key part of each day at Eastleigh, giving children the opportunity to move, explore, and learn in a different environment.
Children can choose how they use the space, whether that’s active play, creative activities, or quiet exploration. These experiences help build confidence, coordination, and a strong sense of independence.
